Tom Holland’s star is clearly on the rise. The hype surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home hasn’t died down in the slightest. However, Sony isn’t missing a perfectly good chance to plug its next potential franchise with Holland in the lead role. The studio has released the second trailer for its long-awaited Uncharted movie, which zeroes in on the relationship between Holland’s Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg’s Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Check it out below.
As with the last trailer, anyone hoping to see a faithful adaptation of Naughty Dog’s original video games isn’t going to find that here. Regardless, this latest preview contains a few noteworthy callbacks to Nate’s PlayStation adventures, particularly Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. But best of all, it features more action and showcases some of the banter that defined Nate and Sully’s relationship. And gamers should also appreciate seeing Sully don his most important accessory at the very end.

Additionally, the trailer sheds some new light on Moncada, the villain played by Antonio Banderas. It turns out Moncada has his own ties to the treasure that Sully and Nate are hunting and a lot more resources to track it down. Which means the two heroes are going to use their wits to make sure they’re the ones who find it first.
Uncharted will open in theaters on February 18, 2022.
