Spider-Man Producer Says a New Tom Holland-Led Trilogy Will Happen

It appears that Tom Holland’s career as Spider-Man is not over yet, nor is the deal between Sony and Marvel Studios. While Holland recently showed uncertainty when asked if he would still be playing Peter Parker in the future, Spider-Man: No Way Home producer Amy Pascal seems to have a more detailed plan. In a recent interview with Fandango, Pascal explained that Sony is still partnering with Marvel for another trilogy, and Holland will be involved in it.

“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn’t part of… we’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Holland recently teased that the upcoming No Way Home would be an end-of-an-era-like story, implying fans might not see him as the web-slinger for long. The British actor first portrayed the character in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before leading in the Peter Parker-led movie, Homecoming. After appearing in Avengers sequels Infinity War and Endgame, he also reprised the role in Far From Home. The upcoming film will be his sixth as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17.
