Shang-Chi Will Arrive on Disney+ on November 12

Although Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ reign at the box office is far from over, Disney has already made plans for its streaming debut. According to Deadline, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has confirmed that the film will premiere on Disney+ on November 12.

Chapek made the announcement during today’s Goldman Sachs 30th Annual Communacopia Conference. He also explained that the movie’s streaming premiere isn’t just some random date on the calendar. On November 12, the studio will also be celebrating Disney+ Day in honor of the platform’s two-year anniversary. Chapek previously announced the event last month, and once again teased that the day will bring a few exciting reveals and even some new incentives for first-time subscribers.

“We’ll be surprising people with offers and it will be an annual thing,” said Chapek. “We’re going to have new content release against one of our four key franchises.”

Shang-Chi recently claimed the top spot at the box office for the third week in a row. On the heels of its record-breaking debut over Labor Day weekend, the film has gone on to make more than $176 million domestically. Its international total currently sits at more than $305 million, effectively securing Simu Liu’s future in the MCU.

However, Shang-Chi won’t be the only new addition to Disney+’s streaming library in November. That same day, the studio will also make Jungle Cruise available at no extra cost following its day-and-date theatrical release via Premier Access. The Wrap also claims we’ll be getting a new Boba Fett special in advance of The Book of Boba Fett’s December premiere. Another special will preview upcoming releases set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
