Let’s be honest: after the weekend trailer leak, Sony kind of had to do this. Regardless of whether the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was planned for today, it’s here. Right now. And while it doesn’t give away all of the film’s secrets, it does welcome back a few familiar faces.
The first trailer reveal came via the official Spider-Man Twitter account, which you can see below.

There’s a lot of the two doctors in this footage: Doctor Strange and Doctor Octopus. And there’s far more going on here that Peter Parker understands. But it’s not as if Peter doesn’t have problems of his own. Mysterio exposed Peter’s identity, and also framed him for murder. That’s not something Spider-Man can easily fix by himself.
Basically, Spidey is on way over his head this time. Will he have some help from additional familiar faces? Perhaps some other Spider-Men? Time will tell, but further revelations are going to have to wait.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17.
