Director Says Filming Has Begun for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

It appears that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is getting closer. Recently, director Peyton Reed took to his socials to announce that principal photography has begun. The director also shared a picture of Cassie Lang’s ugly rabbit from Ant-Man. Apparently, the toy rabbit is in some dangerous place where biohazard materials are stored. Reed will make a third time the charm after directing the first film, followed by 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The third installment focusing on Scott Lang will see Paul Rudd reprising the role of the titular hero from the previous movies. As always, Lang will partner with Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne, a.k.a. the Wasp. A lot of details are still under wrap for this movie. However, fans already know that the titular duo will lock horns with Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. Majors recently made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as a version of the supervillain in Loki. Most of the cast from the previous movies will return to their roles. However, Cassie Lang is now portrayed by Kathryn Newton, since Scott Lang’s daughter has grown a lot in the story after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

According to the producers’ plans, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will debut on Feb. 17, 2023.
