Warner Bros. Releases New Images From The Suicide Squad

Thanks to its splashy marketing campaign, The Suicide Squad remains one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the summer. And with just over a month to go until its premiere, Warner Bros. (via Collider) has released more than 20 new action shots from the upcoming DC film. The images highlight the offbeat dynamic between the members of Task Force X. You can check them out for yourself in the gallery below.

Nearly all of the film’s principal characters are featured in this latest batch of stills. However, Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Ratcatcher II (Daniela Melchior), Peacemaker (John Cena), and Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian) are the ones who appear the most. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Suicide Squad photo dump if there weren’t any glamour shots of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Some of the photos also feature a few returning cast members from the original Suicide Squad, including one where Bloodsport appears to be threatening Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) not long after he’s been recruited to join her team. Other pics show Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) butting heads with his new allies on the field.

Additionally, the studio has released a pair of behind-the-scenes images that show James Gunn alongside the film’s actors. There’s even a group shot of Gunn standing arm in arm with the full cast, including newcomers like Pete Davidson (Blackguard), Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.), Flula Borg (Javelin), and Michael Rooker (Savant). Sean Gunn, the performer for Weasel, can also be seen on the far left wearing his motion capture suit.

The Suicide Squad hits theaters and HBO Max on August 6.
