Chris Pratt Takes on Aliens in First Look at The Tomorrow War

Paramount has finally debuted the first look at The Tomorrow War. Director Chris McKay’s first live-action foray into sci-fi will see Chris Pratt leading the cast as high school teacher Dan Forester, a man who will travel into the future to save the world from an alien invasion. McKay previously served as supervising animator alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star in The LEGO Movie. The freshly debuted set of photos teases a twilight world where humanity has to win the battle for survival, and offers a closer look at the cast.

According to the synopsis, “in The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.”

Besides Pratt, The Tomorrow War cast sees Yvonne Strahovski and J.K. Simmons alongside Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Theo Von, Jasmine Matthews, as well as Keith Powers and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Additionally, Edwin Hodge, Mike Mitchell, Seychelle Gabriel, Alan Trong, and Chibuikem Uche also have roles in the film.

The Tomorrow War will debut on July 2 on Amazon Prime.
