DC Debuts Darkseid T-Shirt From Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Warner Bros. and HBO Max are finally rolling out their marketing campaign for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Yesterday, Snyder announced that a new trailer for the movie is coming on Sunday, February 14. The studio is also hoping to cash in on the film’s hype by releasing an assortment of tie-in merchandise. That includes a new T-shirt featuring the Lord of Apokolips himself, Darkseid. You can check out the design for the shirt below.

Fans got their first proper look at Darkseid when Snyder premiered the film’s first trailer at DC FanDome last summer. The Snyder Cut marks the villain’s big-screen debut, but not his first appearance in live-action. (That honor belongs to Smallville, which presented him as a non-corporeal being throughout its final season). Before stepping away from Justice League in 2017, Snyder had big plans for the character’s role in the DC Extended Universe. He originally teased the villain’s introduction in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice during the infamous “Knightmare” scene, where Bruce Wayne has a vision of the future where Darkseid conquered Earth. Snyder also wanted to give Darkseid a bigger role in a Justice League sequel. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like this film will ever see the light of day.

Ray Porter is bringing Darkseid to life in the Snyder Cut. And if all goes according to plan, this won’t be his last appearance in a DC movie. Ava DuVernay previously confirmed that the Dark God will also show up in her upcoming New Gods film. However, it’s not clear if Porter will reprise the role.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League hits HBO Max on March 18. You can order your own Darkseid t-shirt here.
