2021 is definitely going to be a different year for big movies Following the success of Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros. has decided to debut all its upcoming blockbusters both in theaters and on HBO Max on the same date. While the move has caused a bit of controversy between the studios and the movie makers, fans can only rejoice about the quantity — and quality — of entertainment that is coming their way.
To remind everyone, Warner Bros. has debuted a brand new promo featuring some fresh footage from the blockbusters mentioned above, including Mortal Kombat, Dune, The Suicide Squad, Space Jam 2, and many others. You can watch the Mortal Kombat footage and the rest of the promo in the player below.

According to the producers’ plans, Mortal Kombat should debut in theaters and HBO Max on Apr. 16. However, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if they chose to change the release date the same way they did with other blockbusters. Most recently, Warner Bros. opted to push Godzilla vs. Kong back a week from its Mar. 26 release, perhaps in an attempt to get closer to Easter and grab as much of the stay-at-home audience as possible. And it could be similar for all the movies announced in the trailer.
