With $700 million in grosses, Black Panther remains the second-highest grossing superhero movie of all time. The first and third place entries, Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, also feature Chadwick Boseman as King T’Challa. With its unique (in cinema) Afro-futurist style and catchphrase of “Wakanda forever!”, Black Panther captured the imaginations of viewers of all races and beliefs. Initial waves of toys based on the movie sold out so quickly that Hasbro released a second wave. Thus, the property lasted longer at retail than most similar movie merchandise. It had to satisfy the ever-growing demand of fans whose imaginations caught fire.
