In just a couple of days, the long-awaited The New Mutants movie will finally debut into theaters. The film should have debuted back in 2017, but 20th Century Studios delayed the film for reshoots. Then those actually never happened, due to Disney’s acquisition of Fox. But now fans can check out some new characters posters featuring the protagonists of the movie released by 20th Century Studios.

The story focuses on these five mutants locked in a private institution to undergo “treatment” for their condition. 20th Century Studios has recently confirmed that one of the protagonists, Magik, is Colossus’ sister. The Russian mutant has already made his appearance in his several X-Men movies, and many fans are hoping that he could pop up in this one as well.
The film is based on the eponymous comic book series launched in 1982 by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. The story follows a group of teenage mutants as heroes in training in the Marvel Universe.
The New Mutants stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik and Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Wolfsbane, as well as Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Dani Moonstar, and Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton as Cannonball.
Currently, The New Mutants will hit theaters on August 28.
