During the recent DC FanDome event, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed the first teaser for the upcoming Black Adam movie. Johnson also announced that the Justice Society of America would play a significant role in the film before introducing the members of the team that will encounter DC’s antihero. Many fans were surprised to not see Hawkgirl as part of the superpowered squad, and that’s why someone asked Johnson about it on Twitter. The actor then revealed she was part of their initial plan, but something forced a change of plans. Note that a lot of times, if DC has a plan for a particular character in another medium, they might restrict their use elsewhere.
Hawk Girl was 100% in our original JSA team. Sadly, it’s a complicated story I’ll share w the fans down the road. But it opened up the door for another awesome opportunity for another actress to come in and crush the role of Cyclone. I believe it all works out how it’s meant to

The only recurring element is her partner/romantic interest Hawkman since it’s nearly impossible to see one without the other. Recently, fans saw the Shiera Sanders Hall version of Hawkgirl as part of the Justice Society of America in the Stargirl television series. Sadly, she lost her life to Brainwave on the night the Injustice Society attacked the JSA headquarters.
