Laura Dern Shares a Photo From the Jurassic World: Dominion Set

Movie sets are hard to come by in the time of the coronavirus. But fortunately, some productions are starting to get back on track, including next year’s Jurassic World: Dominion. In addition to Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles from the last two Jurassic World installments, Dominion will reunite the stars of the original Jurassic Park for the first time since 1993. Now, Laura Dern has confirmed that she’s back to work on the highly-anticipated sequel.

Dern psyched up fans for her return as paleobotanist Ellie Sattler with a new photo posted to her Instagram page. The image shows Dern and co-star Sam Neill’s chairs on the film’s set, both of which are printed with their characters’ names. You can check it out for yourself below.

Dern isn’t the only Dominion star who recently teased their return to the Jurassic Park franchise. Sam Neill also announced his own arrival on the Dominion set earlier this week. As a bonus, he even tweeted out a photo of Alan Grant’s trademark hat.

Having the classic trio of Neill, Dern, and Jeff Goldblum show up onscreen together makes Jurassic World: Dominion one of 2021’s most highly-anticipated blockbusters, especially since they won’t be relegated to mere cameo appearances. However, the movie will hearken back to the original Jurassic Park trilogy in other ways as well. During last month’s Comic-Con@Home event, director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the sequel marks a return to using practical effects to bring the dinosaurs to life. In fact, there will be more practical dinosaurs in the new film than either Jurassic World or its 2018 follow-up, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Jurassic World: Dominion will hit theaters on June 11, 2021.
