Disney+ Will Add More X-Men and Fantastic Four Films This Summer

Earlier this month, Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot arrived on Disney+, making it the second 20th Century Fox’s Marvel films to hit the platform since the studios’ merger was finalized last year. But now, Disney+ is adding even more of Fox’s Marvel slate to its lineup. Over the next two months, Disney+ will expand its library with additional X-Men and Fantastic Four installments.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, arguably the strongest entry in the X-Men prequel movies, will be available to watch on Disney+ on July 10. That same day, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is currently still on Netflix, will also hit Disney+. Days of Future Past’s 2016 sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse, will be added the following Friday, July 17.

More classic Marvel films will arrive in August, including the original X-Men film on August 7 and Tim Story’s first Fantastic Four movie on August 28. Sandwiched in between them, Ant-Man and the Wasp (also still on Netflix) will arrive on August 14. Finally, The Wolverine is hitting Disney+ on September 4.

As exciting as this news may be for many subscribers, it inevitably begs the question of how Disney+ might censor some of these films. Disney+ was memorably mocked earlier this year when their version of Splash censored Daryl Hannah’s very brief nude scene. And since both Days of Future Past and The Wolverine feature nude scenes as well as a couple of f-bombs, it’s possible that the studio might tamper with their original cuts.
