Bill and Ted Face the Music Moves Up a Week

Almost every major movie has abandoned this summer’s cinematic landscape, thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, Orion Pictures’ Bill & Ted Face the Music isn’t giving up on the summer. In fact, it’s moving up a week!

According to Deadline, Bill and Ted Face the Music will now hit theaters on Friday, August 14. That date was previously held by Wonder Woman 1984, until Warner Bros. pushed it back to October 2 earlier today. Orion originally had Bill and Ted Face the Music slated to arrive on August 21. The first trailer for the film premiered earlier this week.

Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves will reprise their respective roles as William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan. In Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, the Wyld Stallyns were told that their music was destined to change the world. However, their destiny was nearly derailed in Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey. In Face the Music, Bill and Ted are middle age musicians with daughters of their own. But they will be forced to come up with a song to preserve the timeline in under 80 minutes or else the future that was promised may be lost forever.
