Zack Snyder wasn’t able to finish his vision for Justice League before its theatrical release. However, Snyder will officially get a second chance to finish his film on HBO Max. Most of the cast members have already reacted to the news. But former Batman actor, Ben Affleck, had a decidedly muted reaction on Twitter. Regardless, Affleck seemed far more enthusiastic in a video shared on Kevin Smith’s Fatman Beyond podcast.
“I’m very excited that Zack’s getting a chance to finally see his vision realized,” said Affleck. “I think it’s a great thing. I’m really excited for the fans to get to see it. And I want to say thank you to the fans because it was their enthusiasm and their passion that made it happen. Without fan support I don’t think it ever would have happened. I love Zack and I love his version of the movie and I look forward to everyone getting a chance to see it.”

Snyder will receive $20 to $30 million to rework the film, finish the special affects, and get additional ADR recordings from the cast. Although Affleck has moved on from the role, he may be called in to record new dialogue as well. You can watch his video appearance below.
