For a few months, there have been rumors that Daredevil star Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Matt Murdock in the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home. While Tom Holland’s Spider-Man/Peter Parker certainly needs some legal representation, he’s gonna have to find someone other than Murdock to represent him. However, Cox has finally addressed the rumor and confirmed that he isn’t involved in the third MCU Spider-Man movie.
“I hadn’t heard those rumors, but it’s certainly not with my Daredevil. I’m not involved in it,” said Cox during an interview with ComicBook. “If that’s true, it’s not with me. It’s with another actor.”
Regardless of whether Daredevil appears in the next Spider-Man film, Cox is still open to revisiting his role.

“Look, I had a great time. I’m so grateful I got to play that character as long as I did,” added Cox. “Of course, I’d love to keep going. I’d love to be involved with it.”
Netflix cancelled Daredevil after three seasons in fall 2018. Marvel can reportedly use those characters again after two years have passed. However, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige hasn’t directly signaled his plans for the Marvel heroes who formerly had shows on Netflix.
The next Marvel and Sony Spider-Man movie will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
