Next month, Paramount’s video game adaptation, Sonic the Hedgehog, will race into theaters, Now, Fandango has premiered a new clip to give fans a glimpse of Sonic’s personality.
In the clip, Ben Schwartz’s Sonic has a conversation with his newfound human friend, Tom, as played by X-Men alum Jason Marsden. This takes place after Sonic comes from a crash in the Pacific. Fortunately, he dries off quickly, and in a very amusing way. You can watch the clip below.
Last night, the official Sonic the Hedgehog movie Twitter account revealed a new music video featuring Wiz Khalifa and other artists, called “Speed Me Up.” Shortly thereafter, it confirmed that tickets are now on sale for Sonic’s opening night.

Sonic the Hedgehog has had an incredible turnaround over the past few months. When its initial trailer first debuted last April, fans balked at the redesign of Sonic because of his odd face and his human-like limbs. In the aftermath, director Jeff Fowler promised to fix Sonic’s design, with the help of the film’s visual effects team. Despite the delay, the end results made fans happy with the new trailer. It revealed a much-more faithful looking Sonic akin to his video game counterpart.
Along with Schwartz and Marsden, Sonic the Hedgehog also stars Jim Carrey as Sonic’s nemesis, Dr. Robotnik; along with Tika Sumpter; Adam Pally; and Neal McDonough. It opens in theaters on February 14.
