The roster for The Matrix 4 film continues to grow with a familiar face from Sense8. Via Vital Thrills, Max Riemelt has confirmed his involvement with the upcoming Matrix sequel through a cryptic post on his Instagram account. He’s the second cast member from Sense8 to join the cast, as Toby Onwumere signed on last year.
The Instagram image is below, which features a very familiar looking image from the franchise.
Riemelt previously worked with the film’s director, Lana Wachowski, on Sense8 for two seasons between 2015 and 2017 before Netflix ultimately decided to cancel it. However, fans successfully lobbied Netflix for a proper finale; which arrived in mid-2018.

Keanu Reeves, Carrie Anne-Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith will reprise their roles from the previous Matrix films. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris are also on board.
The Matrix 4 will hit theaters on May 21, 2021.
