Shippers of Kylo Ren and Rey will have to wait for The Rise of Skywalker to hit theaters to see if the relationship they are dreaming of will happen. But we know for sure that something will happen and the upcoming Star Wars movie will give us some answers to some of our questions. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Star Wars star Daisy Ridley confessed that the last movie of the new Star Wars trilogy will deal with the Kylo Ren-Rey relationship.
“Because I know what’s sort of going to happen, I think it’ll be really interesting to see people’s reaction to [the final film]. Obviously, there’s this whole Reylo thing and some people are very passionate about it, some aren’t,” Ridley said.

Then Ridley attributed to director J.J. Abrams the capacity to dig deep into this relationship in a satisfying way.
“J.J. does deal with [it]. It’s a very complex issue. People talk about toxic relationships and whatever it is,” she added. “It’s no joke and I think it’s dealt with really well because it’s not skimmed over.”
The two Force-sensitive characters’ first encounter was on Takodana in The Force Awakens. Since then, it seemed like there was a certain chemistry between the two young characters. Additionally, Ren grew increasingly invested in Rey. Our guess is that the two won’t end up a couple, but the Star Wars saga has always known how to surprise the fans over the years.
