David Harbour Marks the End of His Black Widow Shoot

It looks like progress is moving right along on Marvel’s next film, Black Widow. It appears that David Harbour has wrapped his role for the movie. The Stranger Things star, who plays Alexei Shostakov in Black Widow, posted an image of his beardless face hugging a headless mannequin. And to make things even more interesting, he posted a poetic text to go with it.

“Goodbye long, scraggly, surprisingly soft, Walt Whitman beard,” wrote Harbour. “Adieu beige hotel room. Goodnight sweet strange mannequin i never knew what to do with in the corner of the room. Farewell Alexi, you big bold bright burly hope of Russia, you complicated tortured soul, you guardian of the red.”

In the comics, Alexi is Red Guardian, the Russian counterpart of Captain America. He was also Black Widow’s husband, but it’s unclear if the film will follow through on that.

Along with Scarlett Johansson and Harbour, Black Widow also features Midsommar’s Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and The Mummy alum Rachel Weisz as Melina.

Black Widow will arrive in theaters on May 1, 2020. There’s no word on when its first trailer could appear, but it shouldn’t be too far off.
