Disney+ is Bringing The Mandalorian and More To D23

The upcoming D23 Expos will have some huge reveals in store for Disney+. Disney has announced that it will host a First Look Showcase on Friday, August 23, which will feature programs set to arrive when the service launches on November 12.

Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) will moderate the showcase for the various Disney+ programs. That includes The Mandalorian, the new Star Wars series created by Jon Favreau.

“Fans won’t want to miss this exclusive preview of Disney+ and its exciting slate of original films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more,” noted Disney in its press release.

Other programs that will preview during the event include the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp, High School Musical: The Musical! The Series, and more.

Disney+’s Marvel projects weren’t mentioned, but there is a strong chance that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will have a presence. It’s the first Marvel series slated for Disney+ in 2020. Others, like Hawkeye, Loki, What If?, and WandaVision will also follow in 2021.
