Far From Home Producer Confirms Sony’s Plans for Black Cat
There’s good news for fans of Felicia Hardy, as it seems that Sony has in store big plans for her. Spider-Man: Far From Home and Venom producer Amy Pascal has recently revealed that Sony is down to invest in Peter Parker’s ally-enemy-lover. When asked by Screen Rant what Spider-Man villain she thinks deserves time on the big screen, Pascal immediately dropped the name of Black Cat.
“That’s a good question,” Pascal said. “I like Black Cat a lot, I think she is a really great character. We had her a little bit in the Amazing [Spider-Man] movie, but she’s kind of that character that we didn’t really turn into the Black Cat yet.”

Then, Pascal confirmed that Sony is still on a Spider-Man spin-off project involving Silver Sable and Black Cat.
“We’re still working on that,” she added. “I think we have plans for that.”
In these last years, Sony has worked to bring several characters from the spider-verse to the big screen. We got a movie adaptation of Venom, and we will likely see a sequel, given the huge box-office success of the 2018 blockbuster. Additionally, a Morbius-centered movie is in development right now, with versatile artist Jared Leto playing the Living Vampire. And lastly, Sony has reportedly been working on other projects, involving Silk and Nightwatch.
Pascal’s words, though, could also mean that Black Cat will come to the big screen soon. Only time will tell if Felicia Hardy will become the main star of a solo movie or not.
