Nearly twenty five years ago, the original Toy Story ushered in a new era of computer animation. It was also the beginning of Pixar’s ascension. Now Toy Story 4 has arrived in theaters to give the tales of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toys another conclusion. Did Toy Story 4 live up to the emotionally gripping Toy Story 3? Josh Cooley made his feature directorial debut with Toy Story 4, after making a name for himself as a storyboard artist and screenwriter. Stephany Folsom and Andrew Stanton wrote the screenplay while sharing story credit with John Lasseter, Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Josh Cooley, Valerie LaPointe, and Martin Hynes.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprised their respective roles as Woody and Buzz for the film. Annie Potts also reprised her role as Bo Peep alongside several other returning cast members. Tony Hale, Christina Hendricks, Keanu Reeves, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele also starred in the film.
