With Spider-Man: Far From Home set to hit theaters in just a few days, promotion for the film is going full tilt. Audi has debuted a new full-length Spider-Man ad. In it, Peter Parker and his best bud Ned Leeds use one of their electric cars to their advantage.
In the extended short, Peter (Tom Holland) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) take a trip to the local Science Fair at their school. They’re quite confident in the electric motor that they’ve built…until they see the others on display. With judging set to begin in just minutes, Peter decides to call in a quick favor with a buddy over at S.H.I.E.L.D. After coercing him for a quick favor (involving his son’s birthday party), Peter makes a trip across town to find a more powerful engine. But this one’s inside Audi’s e-tron electric prototype car.
The full commercial is in the spirit of Spider-Man. And there’s also a nod to another Marvel hero in there. Pay very close attention to the numbers that Spider-Man puts in for the door code. Here’s a spoiler alert: It’s Stan Lee’s birthday!
