Fans of Bill and Ted are certainly down with the news that their most excellent franchise will return next year with the long awaited sequel, Bill and Ted Face the Music. But they’ll have to deal with the news that their beloved duo will have to face off with a most heinous bad guy. Bogus.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony Carrigan will portray the main villain in the film. He can currently be seen as Chechen gangster Noho Hank in HBO’s award-winning series Barry, as well as the forthcoming Kevin Hart film Fatherhood.
In the forthcoming film, the older best friends are still attempting to create a rock and roll legacy for themselves. According to the report, “a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can safe life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.” That sends the pair “out on a new adventure, helped along by their daughters, old friends, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends.”

In addition to Reeves, Winter, and Carrigan, the cast also includes William Sadler, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, and Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi.
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) will direct the film, which will go into production next month in New Orleans. Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who wrote the previous two Bill and Ted movies, returned to write Face the Music.
There’s no word yet on what kind of villain Carrigan’s character will be just yet. However, it wouldn’t surprise us if he had relation to De Nomolos from Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey. Just look!
