Aubrey Plaza Shows Off Her Take on Catwoman

While Matt Reeves made it clear last month that Robert Pattinson is The Batman, he hasn’t decided who to cast as Catwoman. But actress Aubrey Plaza is pushing pretty hard to get the role, based on her recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Plaza stopped by the show to promote the reboot of Child’s Play, which opens this Friday. But over the course of her interview, Colbert asked her about her interest in playing the leather-bound arch-villain in Reeves’ new project.

The interview can be seen below, with the Catwoman question coming up around the 6:57 mark. Plaza confirmed that she truly loves the character, and also enjoys the Halle Berry Catwoman movie. Although Plaza has no expectation that she’ll be offered the role, she offered fans an amusing glimpse of her take on the character. Colbert offered her some props to test out her Catwoman skills. From there, things got a bit bizarre.

There could definitely be an argument here for Plaza to portray the role of Catwoman. She has some superhero experience in FX’s Legion series, and she also co-starred in the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World adaptation. But check out the interview and decide for yourself.
