Marvel Announces Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Prequel Comic

EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order dropped its extended gameplay demo last weekend, but that’s just the beginning of the story. There’s more where that came from, as Marvel will build upon the game with an upcoming prequel comic.

StarWars.com provided details on the five-issue series, which will be titled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple. It follows Jedi Master Eno Cordova and his Padawan Cere Junda. Together, they go on a dangerous mission to a remote planet, Ontotho. Not long after their arrival, they run into some local resistance and ruthless security troops in a battle that escalates into a full-on war.

Matthew Rosenberg (Uncanny X-Men and The Punisher) is writing the series, while Paolo Villanelli (Vader: Dark Visions) provides the art.

“Working on the Jedi: Fallen Order comic has been a great experience,” said Rosenberg. “Respawn and Lucasfilm are not only creating one of the most exciting video games in a long, long time, but they’re also telling a truly epic Star Wars story. So having the chance to introduce audiences to some of the game’s cast, and explore a bit of who they are and how they got where they are is really fun. Cere Junda and Eno Cordova are a pair of Jedi that fans are definitely going to want to know more about, and this comic will tell you part of their story you won’t get anywhere else.”

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple #1 will hit comic stores in September.
