Spider-Man: Far From Home

Far From Home’s New Poster Overshadows Spider-Man

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame!

Peter Parker has a lot on his mind going into Spider-Man: Far From Home. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter is grieving for his mentor, Tony Stark/Iron Man. that loss weighs heavily on him in the latest trailer for the film, where he notes, “I see him everywhere.” Peter’s emotional plight continues with the newest poster for the sequel.

Via the official Spider-Man Twitter account, the poster features Peter Parker in his Iron Spidey suit, hunched on a roof. It seems pretty calm, but if you look behind his character, you can see a pretty familiar mural.

That’s Stark’s Iron Man in a battle pose, the same one we see in the trailer. And as you can see, it leaves Peter in a bit of frustration.

This will likely serve as background over the course of the film. While Peter goes on a getaway with his friend, he’s soon thrust back into danger by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Fury asks Spidey to assist with out-of-town visitor Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) while battling their elemental enemies.

As you can see in the trailer below, there’s a lot for Peter to unpack here. Not only is there the introduction of the “multiverse,” but also concern about “being the next Iron Man.” At one point, Fury even asks Peter if he’s ready to step up or not.

The poster does kind of serve as a spoiler for Endgame, but it also boosts the hype going into Spider-Man: Far From Home’s release later this summer.

Spider-Man: Far From Home opens in theaters on July 2. Do you think Peter Parker has too much pressure on him? Let us know in the comment section below!
