Daredevil: Born Again has dropped its eighth episode. It witnessed the comeback of the deadly Bullseye, leading to numerous twists and turns.

However, the most shocking twist in the episode was Matt Murdock turning savior for Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. So, why did Matt save Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again?
Here’s Why Matt Murdock saves Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again
Matt Murdock saved Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again, likely because he learned he wasn’t responsible for Foggy Nelson’s death, and according to him, sending Fisk to prison serves as a much bigger punishment than simply letting him die.
The latest episode witnessed Matt delving deep into Foggy’s death. He pays a visit to Dex in prison and asks Bullseye if he killed Foggy for someone. However, Bullseye demands his freedom in exchange for answers, leaving Matt angry. Soon, Matt finds out the real culprit behind Foggy’s death. It is none other than Wilson Fisk’s wife, Vanessa. Further, Matt dances with Vanessa and reveals that he knows she orchestrated Foggy’s murder.
At the end of the episode, Bullseye fires a gun at Kingpin. However, Matt ends up taking the bullet for him, leaving viewers shocked. Fans were curious to find out why Matt saved the villain when it was the perfect chance to punish him for his crimes. Fans would have loved to see the superhero letting the villain get his karma through the most brutal death.
Even in the past, the superhero spared Kingpin’s life by yelling at him and wanting to see him in prison. As such, Matt must have let go of Fisk again to send him to prison, viewing it as the perfect punishment. Additionally, he learnt the Kingpin wasn’t behind Foggy’s death. Thus, he must have taken the bullet to focus on the real culprit, that is, Fisk’s wife, Vanessa. However, it will be interesting to see if Matt continues to save Fisk or whether there will be a deadly showdown between the old enemies.
Why did Bullseye try to kill Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again?
Bullseye tried to kill Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again to avenge the murder of his lover.
For the unversed, Bullseye wanted to murder Wilson Fisk, as the latter had the love of his life killed earlier in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3. As such, he might have gone for another shot at revenge. It was also because of the fact that Kingpin tried to have Poindexter killed in prison by transferring him to gen pop.
