Nightwing Figure Swings Into Mezco’s One:12 Collective

Mezco, like most toy companies with the licensing ability, has done a lot of Batman. Batman, however, wouldn’t be where he is today without Dick Grayson — the original Robin, and now the independent crimefighter known as Nightwing. His acrobat skills more on point than ever, his costume better suited to blending into the shadows, Dick is also known for his tight glutes, which are much easier to show off when one doesn’t wear a cape. (Not that Joel Schumacher didn’t try.)

Good Night

Mezco’s Nightwing design looks like a combination of skintight bodysuit and armor pieces, allowing for a combination of flexibility and protection. Like any good RPG player, he has to balance his attributes. To customize him, you can remove his utility belt, pouch, and leg holster, but they may come in handy to hold his Escrima sticks (which combine to make a staff), Wing-Dings, and grapple hooks. Clip-on electrical effects make his weapons look fully activated, and four swappable heads, including one unmasked, let you alter Nightwing’s mood and hair.

The figure also includes 18 interchangeable hands, and to explain why, it might be easier just to list them:

  • One (1) pair of fists (L&R)
  • One (1) pair of brass knuckles hands (L&R)
  • One (1) pair of stick spin holding hands (L&R)
  • One (1) pair of stick holding hands (L&R)
  • One (1) pair of Wing-Ding holding hands (L&R)
  • One (1) pair of three (3) darts holding hands (L&R)
  • One (1) posing hand (L)
  • One (1) smoke bomb throwing underhand (L)
  • One (1) single dart holding hand (L)
  • One (1) smoke bomb holding hand (L)
  • One (1) smoke bomb throwing overhand (R)
  • One (1) grabbing hand (R)
