Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to build something strange? In a long overdue move, since LEGO and Disney have been working together for awhile now, we’re finally getting a big Nightmare Before Christmas set. Those Jack and Sally minifigs no longer have to stand alone, and will soon have a place to live.
There’s LEGO Every Where…
Coming out of the LEGO Ideas program, The Nightmare Before Christmas set includes three Halloweentown locations that can be displayed together or separately. There’s the iconic Spiral Hill for romantic poses, Jack’s house, and the town hall with fountain. Minifigs include Jack, Sally, Zero, Lock, Shock, Barrel, and Santa, along with a brick-built version of the two-faced Mayor. Alas, no Oogie Boogie — maybe that’s another set in waiting, if this one succeeds.
Both the town hall and Jack’s house are double-sided, including such accessories as Jack’s lectern and chalkboard. The hall also has a few secrets in the basement and attic, hidden from view. They’re not exactly to scale, so don’t expect to fill them with additional monsters and ghosts. With that said, LEGO remains endlessly customizable, and this set offers some of the key printed pieces a builder might want in order to make larger versions.

The set comes out September 3rd on LEGO.com and at LEGO stores, with a general release September 6th. That’s plenty of time to buy, build, and put it in your own Halloween display. With luck, it’s also time to save the $200 you’ll need to purchase it.
Take a look at more official images of this set below. These are Halloween, so everybody, literally, make a scene! Or three.
