Official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Transformer Is Here

Sing along with that theme song you love! “Teenage, Mutant, Ninja Turtles . . . More than meets the eye!” It’s an odd mash-up, perhaps, but an inevitable one. The original TMNT action figures by Playmates tried their hand at transforming figures a time or two — but now it’s official. Hasbro’s newest Transformers crossover collaboration, a robo-turtle named Party Wallop (Really? That’s the best they could come up with? Not even “Pizzatron”?), transforms from turtle van to robot turtle and back.

Tubular Transition

Ah, but which turtle? The answer is that you can choose. Party Wallop includes four different heads, belt buckles, and sets of weapons so you can choose your favorite turtle. Or, as the toy company probably hopes, buy a set of four. Or buy one and periodically switch the heads out, depending in whether you feel rude, leader-like, mechanical, or party dude-ish.

Here’s the official text: “The iconic Party Wagon from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is now a Transformers robot! This 7-inch (17.5 cm) figure converts from robot mode to cartoon-inspired Party Wagon alt mode and features series-accurate deco and details from the classic 1987 cartoon. This pack comes with cartoon-inspired accessories including ninja swords, bo staff, nunchucks, and ninja sai to gear up the turtle brothers.”

“It also includes 4 swappable heads and a rotating belt buckle to customize the robot as either a Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, or Raphael inspired action figure. Transformers robots have always been — More Than Meets the Eye — but now, through the Transformers Collaborative, fans can experience these larger-than-life characters as they team-up, mash-up, and meet up with other characters, teams, and people who share this same special quality.”

Like many Transformers mash-ups, the price tag feels like more than meets the size, but both licenses gotta get paid. Preorders are up now at Hasbro Pulse for $49.99. Check the official pics below, dudes!
