He’s unfrozen, rested, and ready to take on a shield generator under his new rank of General. Han Solo, in his Endor camouflage jacket, is the latest high-end 12-inch Star Wars figure from Hot Toys. As seen in Return of the Jedi, Han’s older and more sensitive, but every bit as crafty and self-satisfied. No longer the loner that his surname suggests, Han has become loyal to the cause greater than himself, and mostly a team player.
Give the Man a Han
Of his latest figure, Hot Toys says, “The highly-accurate Han Solo collectible figure is skillfully crafted based on his appearance in the movie. It features a stunning head sculpt with great likeness and rotatable eyeballs, finely tailored outfit with a camouflage coat, a blaster, an Endor-themed environmental figure base, and newly sculpted hands with natural details!” Who could possibly have a bad feeling about that? Well, maybe your partner, if you don’t prepare them for the $290 price tag.
Frequently voted the most popular character in the Star Wars saga, Han Solo has appeared in six live-action Star Wars films, mostly played by Harrison Ford (once by Alden Ehrenreich). Even death couldn’t keep him down, as he continued to appear in a highly visual memory, interacting with son Ben.
Beginning life as a lowly smuggler, Han finds a new home at the end of Return of the Jedi, with a new love and a makeshift family. If he only knew that one day the son conceived shortly thereafter would grow up to murder him, would he have done things differently?
