Premium DNA Unleashes 6-Inch Mars Attacks Figures and Dioramas

Super7 may have the rights for 7-inch Mars Attacks action figures, but now Premium DNA have a broader line planned. A series of figures and dioramas in the 6-inch scale just went up for preorder and they’re arguably the fanciest yet for the property, based in this case on the original trading cards. The company known for Madballs and Garbage Pail Kids toys is going more realistic for this one.

Angry Red Planet

Premium DNA’s first Mars Attacks wave is a set of four figures with dioramas, though the dioramas and figures are also sold separately. Designed for army building, the figures come with interchangeable parts, and most include alternate heads. On the Martian side, we get a Martian soldier that comes with or without two large chunks of flaming skeletons and a Martian in its underwear watching from the mothership, complete with large-screen TV and cocktails if you so choose.

On the human side, a regular soldier can come packed with a captured Martian. The wounded adversary sports limited articulation and a swappable head. A flamethrower trooper, meanwhile, is meant for a 12-inch tall display of giant burning bugs, with some articulation. Both human soldier figures by themselves ought to be compatible with similar military lines like G.I. Joe Classified and Valaverse.

When released, the Mars Attacks figures will cost $48.99, the diorama pieces by themselves $28.99, and figure-diorama combos $68.99 (a savings of $18). Preorders, however, are currently discounted, with figures $39.19, dioramas $23.19, and combos $55.19 (the latter price only 19 cents more than the individual Super7 figures). Though these are not based on the Tim Burton movie, the film’s designs were faithful enough to the cards that these can pass as such. Just don’t expect Pierce Brosnan or Jack Nicholson figures to join the line.

Check out digital renders of the entire wave below. Then, if you so choose, strike while the preorder iron is hot. Ack ack!
