Hot Toys Back to the Future Part II DeLorean Is Ready to Preorder

Hot Toys have a history of showing off large, insanely detailed vehicles in scale with their 12-inch figures, and then never selling them. Numerous convention booths have showcased just how elaborate their craftspeople can get, only to get hit with sales price point reality. But they actually succeeded with the original Back to the Future DeLorean. It’s a vehicle so iconic that higher-end collectors gladly shell out for a great replica, and the only one made in-scale for realistic movie-styled figures. (LEGO and Playmobil did house-style versions.) Now they’ve upped the ante with a Back to the Future Part II DeLorean. Just like Doc Brown, they’ve added tilting wheels, Mr. Fusion, and more.

From the official description: “the movie-accurate DeLorean Time Machine collectible vehicle measures 72cm long, displays an impressive amount of details including multiple LED light-up points on the exterior design and interior controls, signature gull-wing doors, foldable wheels for flight hover mode, real-like cable wires across the exterior structure, detail recreation of the time machine engine deck and cabin controls, and a specially designed base for the hovering DeLorean Time Machine.”

$825 may not sound cheap, but for a Hot Toys vehicle that fits two 12-inch figures? Not so bad. As always, Sideshow Collectibles makes payment plans available.
