Iron Man and Suit Gantry Go Quarter-Scale From Hot Toys

Fans might think they’ve seen this particular collectible from Hot Toys before. But look again. Size matters. Hot Toys did indeed previously make an Iron Man and suit gantry figure set, but in their usual 1/6 scale. This time, they’re going quarter scale, because apparently some collectors have as much money to burn as Tony Stark. That’s an 18-inch Iron Man figure, with light-up eyes, palms, and ARC reactor, as well as 20 additional LEDs on the base and mechanical arms. If you have to ask the price, well, it’s $1,040. Prefer separate purchases? Get Iron Man alone for $595, or the gantry alone for $470. Do the math.

From the official description: “Beautifully designed with gorgeous detailing, the 1/4th scale figure measures approximately 48.6 cm tall and is crafted based on Robert Downey Jr’s screen appearance as Tony Stark/Iron Man from the movie. It features a newly developed Tony Stark helmeted head sculpt, an interchangeable helmeted head with LED-light up function, skillfully applied metallic Hotrod red and gold-colored armor, LED lights shine through various areas of armor, articulated armor designed to reveal interior mechanical design or hidden weapons, and a specially designed figure stand.”
