Grogu, Ahsoka, and Death Watch Get New Star Wars Figures

Hasbro recently excited collectors with Star Wars action figures of a Death Watch Mandalorian and Ahsoka Tano, as played by Rosario Dawson, in the 3.75-inch Vintage Collection. Fans of the 6-inch Black Series may have felt left bummed, but no longer. Today Hasbro revealed the 6-inch Death Watch and Ahsoka figures, both based on their appearances in The Mandalorian.

Dawson is an action figure veteran at this point, having previously been immortalized as Sin City and Marvel Netflix action figures. This will likely become her first Ahsoka of many, since she’s headed to her own TV series.

Official Star Wars canon remains vague on the connection between Death Watch — fundamentalists affiliated with Maul in the Clone Wars — and Children of the Watch. The latter being the clan who saved Din Djarin and raised him as a stickler for helmet-wearing. This figure looks based on Djarin’s childhood memory flashbacks.

But Hasbro knows where the real Mandalorian-related money comes from. It’s in the newest member of the Mudhorn Clan, Grogu. And his unique Bounty Collection series will add a new wave four shortly. It includes the little guy eating macaron-like cookies, grabbing a butterfly, playing in the snow, hiding in a vase, meeting the Frog Lady’s baby, and getting annoyed by ice Krykna.

Release dates for these figures remain TBD, but early next year seems a good guess. Will you preorder any? Let us know in comments.
