McFarlane Toys The Batman Figures Revealed, Plus New Statues

Looks like the Cat (and the Bat, and the Riddler) is out of the bag. And into a blister-carded box. Following DC FanDome, McFarlane Toys unveiled The Batman figures, in addition to some extra Batman statues released in conjunction with DC Direct. With The Batman trailer out, there’s no more secrecy as to what the main characters look like. In his green overcoat and mask, the Riddler goes for a Zodiac Killer vibe. Aside from the balaclava mask — which is a big aside — Catwoman’s costume seems reasonably accurate. And Batman looks like what we’ve been seeing since the first reveal.

McFarlane being McFarlane, odds of unmasked variants seem hugely likely. In the meantime, Batman’s basic Batcycle will run $29.99, versus the $19.99 figures. And the back of the Batcycle box hints that Jim Gordon may show up next. Preorder now for a January delivery.

Earlier in the show, Todd McFarlane showcased some new statues made with DC Direct. From the movies, $169.99 statues of Batman and Riddler, as played by Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano. And from the comics, the “Leatherface” Purple Craze Joker by Greg Capullo, and Mike Mignola’s black and white take on Gotham by Gaslight Batman. These run $124.99. All should hit stores by April.
