The Mandalorian Gets a New Wave of Kenner-Style Figures

For ’80s kids, one of the coolest things about The Mandalorian is the way it feels like the further adventures so many acted out, post-Return of the Jedi, with their original Kenner Star Wars action figures. To enhance that feel even further, Hasbro just announced a new wave of Kenner-style figures from The Mandalorian that would fit in perfectly with that old collection. And since Boba Fett’s fresh armor paint job in the recent season was inspired by his original Kenner figure…well, as Darth Vader might say, the circle is now complete.

This actually marks the second wave of Kenner-style Mandalorian figures. The first featured season 1 Mando, Grogu, Cara Dune, Greef Karga, IG-11, Kuiil, and Moff Gideon. The new wave features the upgraded armor Mando with what appears to be a fabric cape. Plus Bo-Katan Kryze, the Deathtrooper, the Armorer, Ahsoka Tano, and Boba Fett in his armor-over-robes look.
