Take NECA, a company best known for screen-accurate action figures and ancillary merchandise, and Rubies, a company synonymous with Halloween costumes. Partner them up, and what do you get? Denuo Novo, a new subsidiary designed to make high-quality prop replicas and cosplay-quality costumes. They’re kicking it off with Star Wars replicas, but more licenses seem inevitable. particularly since both companies already have a healthy chunk of licensed product rights in similar spheres.
Denuo Novo’s online store currently has four saga-spanning helmet replicas for sale, at $650-$700. If that seems a little steep, they also sell Imperial Officer hats for $75. Helmets include Din Djarin’s Mandalorian helmet, Shoretrooper, First Order Flametrooper, and Emperor’s Royal Guard. Via press release, the company also announced that life-sized statues are a future possibility. Also, “Denuo Novo will combine the world-class innovation and creative capabilities of NECA with Rubies’ best-in-class supply chain and omni-channel retailing capabilities.” In other words, expect most of your favorite retailers for such things to stock them.

Replica helmets fit up to a size 8 head and include interior padding. Which, in some cases, can remove for cleaning, or adjustable fit. Designs utilize digital scans, and hands-on research where possible (as in the case of The Mandalorian still having an active production). Presumably they’re holding off on some of the real heavy-hitters like regular Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett for once everything gets fully up and running.
