The big bad from Taika Waititi’s much-loved Thor: Ragnarok, Surtur meets defeat early in the film. But there’s a catch: he can be regenerated from his helmet. And while doing so brings about Ragnarok, the fated destruction of Asgard, it beats leaving Hela in charge.

Surtur’s pet dragon also features heavily in Disneyland’s Guardians of the Galaxy ride during the Halloween after-dark overlay.
