Marvel Legends Finally Does a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Wave

It’s not that Hasbro didn’t make toys for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Obviously, no toy company would neglect a superhero cartoon within their license framework. But like so many others who fall for a stereotype, they aimed most of it at younger kids. The flagship collector line, Marvel Legends, neglected the property almost entirely, save for one Miles/Gwen two-pack that instantly shot up in value. Two years later, the toy company finally has a full Into the Spider-Verse wave en route.

The animated style makes these figures uniquely stand out from other Marvel Legends, especially apparent since, like most movie waves, this also includes two comic-based figures in a more traditional style. Miles Morales and Peter B. Parker come in “costume under civilian clothes” style, while Gwen (with Spider-Ham) and Prowler look fully suited up. For the comic-based figures in the line, we get the admittedly cartoony looking Frog-Man, and a Hand Ninja. Collect all six to build Stilt-Man, and anyone buying extra Hand Ninjas will also get extra stilt connectors to make Stilt-Man even taller.

With the movie sequel not scheduled until fall of 2022, there’s plenty of time to do more if these figures prove popular.
