The Dune action figure line from McFarlane Toys has its first villain. But you’ll have to buy all four previously announced heroes in order to put him together. An “animal” of the WWE ring playing a “beast,” this build-a-figure from Dune wave one is Glossu Rabban, as played by Dave Bautista. The wrestler-turned-actor is no stranger to plastic likenesses, having seen toy life many times as Marvel’s Drax, and his in-ring persona “Batista.” But most of those figures showed of his muscles and made him look good. As Baron Harkonnen’s nephew, he’s pale, bloated, and generally someone to avoid.

David Lynch’s Dune emphasized the Baron’s other nephew, Feyd-Rautha, as a primary villain. Thus far, Warner Bros. offers no casting announcement or appearance of Feyd in the new film. It stands to reason that Rabban may take on a larger role as Paul Atreides’ primary foe.
Major characters as yet unmade include weapons master Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin), Paul’s father Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac), Paul’s Fremen lover Chani (Zendaya), and big bad Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgard). Plus everyone will be shocked if McFarlane Toys doesn’t at least attempt a sandworm. That’s at least enough for one more wave.
Will you collect all four initial figures to build the beast Rabban? Let us know in comments!
