New Custom ECTO-1 Model Debuts At Ghostbusters Fan Fest

The Ghostbusters Fan Fest is set to take place this weekend as a way to celebrate the film’s 35th anniversary with a number of activities, featuring the film’s stars, directors and more. The Fan Fest will also feature the debut of a new ECTO-1 replica from Eaglemoss Hero Collector.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision first showed off the model, which measures at over 31 inches long and 10 inches wide. With it, Ghostbusters devotees will be able to build their dream ECTO-1 however they see fit, complete with working headlights, sirens, steering wheels and doors. It will also include all its original modifications, as constructed in-movie by Dan Aykroyd’s Dr. Ray Stantz.

Heat Vision has also debuted a video that features Aykroyd taking a look at the ECTO-1 replica for the first time; which you can see below.

The Ghostbusters ECTO-1 Buildup will be released in 2020, possibly around the same time as the new film. Pricing isn’t available just yet, but those that are interested in joining the waitlist can do so by signing up here.

Once the final product is available, it will come with an official display case. That way, collectors can keep it safe, but also remove the glass and show it off. It also comes with an official Ghostbusters logo, to remind them that bustin’ makes them feel good.

Attendees at the Ghostbusters Fan Fest this weekend should be able to see the ECTO-1 replica for themselves. For everyone else, check out the attached gallery, with images from Heat Vision/Hollywood Reporter and Eaglemoss.
