20th Century Fox Daredevil spin-off Elektra, starring Jennifer Garner, earned an estimated $4.49 million from 3,204 theaters on Friday, its first day in theaters.
It was topped by “Coach Carter,” which made $8.3 million from 2,524 theaters, “Meet the Fockers,” which added $5.6 million and has collected an impressive $217.2 million, and “In Good Company,” which earned $4.54 million from just 1,565 theaters.
Other new opener “Racing Stripes” earned $3.3 million for the day.
