Box Office Mojo says that Spider-Man 2 earned an estimated $14.33 million from 4,166 theaters on Friday to bring its 10-day total to $225.6 million. Spider-Man 2 has climbed to the 44th spot on the all-time domestic blockbuster list and has allowed Sony Pictures ($738.7 million) to pull ahead of Warner Bros. ($729.1 million) in earnings for the year so far.
The Spidey sequel beat out newcomer “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” which made $10.7 million from 3,091 theaters.
