Hey guys, I was just watching a show called Extra and they showed scenes to Monday’s episode and it said we will reveal brand new Spider-Man 2 scenes along with other summer movies. Just thought I would let you guys know.
‘Aceun’ tells us the official movie game website has been updated…
The Spider-Man 2 website has been updated. In the “games” section (consoles)… there is a new “characters” button that features Spider-Man (as well as short clips of some of his new moves and abilities), Black Cat, The Shocker, and 3 unidentified characters (most likely Rhino, Mysterio, and Doc Ock). Spider-Man’s new moves include an air juggle (Marvel vs. Capcom anyone?), a helicopter hang, a pile driver move, a web lasso, and a new updated web swing.
Very cool, check that out at the link above. Meanwhile, ‘sickboy’ pointed us to the Kellogg’s promo website where you’re supposed to be able to play a demo of the game (though we can’t seem to get it to work for some reason).
And scooper ‘imdaly’ has a big update on the upcoming Burger King Spidey promotion…
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all in on some early info about Burger King’s upcoming Spider-Man 2 promotion! I’m a manager at my local BK, and I just happened to come across some info that some of you might be interested in hearing.
“Beginning Monday, June 28, 2004, for five weeks BURGER KING restaurants will offer our Guests 8 exciting and interactive collectible premiums timed to the release of the film Spider-Man 2 from Columbia Pictures on June 30, 2004.
Another key piece of this promotion is the “Spidey Sense” Game for our adult Guests, which will also begin on Monday, June 28, 2004.”
Here’s a list of the 8 Spider-Man 2 Premiums, and a quick explanation of what they do. Now remember that the paper I’m reading has no pictures, so I cannot yet describe them visually. As soon as the first pictures are in, I’ll scan a pic of them and post them here.
Energy Blast Doc Ock – Apparently there are some sort of “propellers” on this toy that will spin and launch when activated. I’m wondering if the “propellars” are the arms?
Spidey Web Ball – “Throw and catch the web ball”
Spidey Super Squirter – A webshooter that squirts water.
Spidey Web Flingers – “Throw each of the three web flingers into the air and see how far they will go.”
Throw and Stick Spidey – Seems to me like those flat velcro glove “mits” that the ball will stick to when hit.
Spidey Speed Stopwatch – A Spidey Stopwatch
Web Gliding Spidey – “Aim and throw the glider into the air to see how far Spidey will go.”
Spidey Vision Scope – Apparently a Spidey magnifying glass.
Now, with each of these “premiums” (toys), it says “Hold in direct daylight to reveal your Spidey-Sense Signal!” …not quite sure what is going on with that.
Now for what I know about the adult “Spidey Sense” Game:
Apparently this will be one of those “peel-and-win” games with the stickers on the cups and fry boxes. Medium Fry/Rings and Medium/Large/King Sized Cups each will have 1 game piece. King Sized Frys/Rings will have 2! So, get a King Sized Value Meal, and you have 3 game pieces!
What can you win in this game? I’m not sure yet. Now, I’m sure most of it will be free BK food. But the BIG winners? No clue. Movie Passes? A Car? A date with Aunt May? As soon as I find out, I’ll let you know!
