Several hundred journalists and film industry guests crowded the ballroom at a Tokyo hotel to watch the “Director’s Preview,” as it was labeled.
Trailer on a master brought over from Los Angeles started with a video message by helmer Sam Raimi welcoming the Japanese guests, partly in their own language, and explaining that some of the CG and sound wasn’t complete.
The sequel opens in Japan on July 4th and here on July 2nd.
