I attended the Nacogdoches Film Festival this weekend in Nacogdoches, Texas. It was the east Texas premiere of Bubba Ho-tep, a truly excellent piece of cinema. Bruce Campbell was in attendance, and I was able to talk to him for a bit and find out two newsworthy pieces of information.
The first is that the Bubba Ho-tep will be released on DVD the same time as ROTK, May 25th. Anyone who is a Bruce Campbell fan and has not seen this should pick it up.
Secondly, I asked Bruce about his cameo in Spiderman 2. He said that it’s not just a cameo, he actually DEFEATS SPIDERMAN. Of course, that’s all he could say. He added, in true sarcastic Bruce manner, that “in the first film I named him, in the second I defeat him, in the third I will probably play him!”
